Emergency First Aid At Work
6 Hours - Level 3
Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training is a 1 day first aid training course that builds confidence & teaches skills so you can deal with life-threatening first aid emergencies.
Considered the national standard, this course covers a broad range of topics.
The course is tailored for people working in low-risk environments and for the general public wishing to learn new skills.
First Aid At Work Requalification
12 Hours - Level 3
The First Aid at Work Requalification course is tailored for those who have already completed a 3 day (18 Hour) First Aid at Work (FAW) Qualification.
The refresher course is just 12 hours run over 2 days and as long as completed before your FAW has expired allows you to renew your full FAW for another 3 years.

Emergency Outdoor First Aid
8 Hours - Level 3 Qualification
This course will provide essential life saving skills when operating outdoors. You will cover all of the same syllabus as the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course but tailored for outdoor situations.
Highly practical and tailored for your setting and activity (i.e. cycling, walking or coaching)

2 Day Outdoor First Aid
16 Hours - Level 3 Qualification
This course is the benchmark outdoor first aid qualification required for most UK NGB Outdoor Instructor Awards

Supervising First Aid For Mental Health
12 Hours - Level 3 Award
This first aid course builds on the Level 2 qualification in First Aid for Mental Health. You will cover a wider range of mental health conditions and go into further detail on the range of professional support options that are available.
This course is suitable for any individual in the workplace but is aimed at those who hold a supervisory/managerial position and who have responsibility for implementing a positive mental health culture and responsibility for First Aid for Mental Health within the organisation.

Basic Life Support
3 Hours - Level 2
Our Basic Life Support course will give all attendees the skills and confidence to act in an emergency. You will be taught how to provide the casualty with critical life saving assistance until support arrives.
You will also be trained in the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and is delivered following the protocols set by the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines.
EpiPen Training
3 Hours
Our Anaphylaxis and EpiPen training course will teach candidates how to administer an EpiPen.
As EpiPens are now commonplace in the working environment and in schools it is essential that you understand how to use them.

A Brief History
Where We Started
First Aid Plymouth is a family run business that has been training people in first aid for over 15 years. It was started by Indie Lyndale who has spent 30 years working as a teacher, lecturer, mountain leader and outdoor instructor.
During her time working in various institutions she experienced boring and tenuous first aid training on countless occasions. This made her realise there needed to be a different way! First aid training should be exciting and engaging. It's serious stuff and when you need to act you need to be able to deal with potentially stressful situations. Sitting there through long, boring training sessions reading from work books is not going to teach you anything.
An Engaging Approach
Practical First Aid
With this in mind Indie started First Aid Education. Bringing together her extensive experience working in the outdoors and as a teacher she created courses that will teach you real skills. All of our courses follow the strict guidelines and syllabus as outlined by the 'Health & Safety Executive' (HSE). We also offer a wide range of Ofqual regulated courses should you need this service..
We make every one of our courses practical and engaging by using scenarios to practise the various subjects and modules covered. This enables people to put what they have learnt into practice. This is fun and requires people to think on their feet without putting anyone on the spot to get things wrong. We practise together and everybody gets something positive from these sessions.
Everyone who comes on our course leaves invigorated and many have contacted us further down the line to tell us their stories of how they have been able to deal with situations since their training.
